Genesis 1:1

Matthew 28:19

About Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus is the eternal Son of God. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, worked miracles and gave us an example to follow. Fully God and fully man, He died on a cross to pay the penalty for our sin and after three days, rose from the dead to reconcile us to our Creator and to free us to have a new life in Him. Now, He sits at the right hand of the Father.

About the Holy Spirit

We believe in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that is given to every follower of Christ to guide, comfort, convict, and adopt us into the family of God. He helps us grow into Christ-likeness by producing the fruit of the Spirit in our lives. Every believer must foster a life of being filled with the Spirit, which is both an initial and an ongoing experience for Christians. He gives us spiritual gifts to empower us to meet the needs of God’s people and a hurting world.

Romans 8:11

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

About Humanity

Genesis 1:26

Genesis 3

Romans 5:12-19

About Salvation

We believe the Father sent Jesus to redeem us through an act of atonement, which culminated with Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection from the dead, that the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross solely provides for the forgiveness of sins. Therefore, salvation is received when a person places his faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as the sufficient payment for one's acknowledged sin. This salvation is not earned and is only given by the grace of God.

Mark 10:45

Acts 2:38

Ephesians 2:8-9

About Following Christ

We believe that when every Christian puts their faith in Jesus Christ, it produces the evidence of our salvation. The old way of living for oneself is in the past, and the new way of living for Christ is the present and future. We are forgiven of sin, declared right before God, and given eternal life with Him. The Holy Spirit is given to assure us of our salvation, adopt us into God’s family, and to live in us and empower us for a life of following Jesus. This results in the fruits of the Spirit - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Matthew 22:37-39

Galatians 5:22-23

About the Second Coming

We believe that Christians who have died will be reunited with those still alive at the second coming of Jesus Christ. This event will be followed by the millennial reign of Christ, a final judgment, and the appearance of a new heaven and a new earth.

About Healing

We believe that Christ's power to heal, evident in the Gospels, is available to all believers today through his atoning sacrifice. The church is to lay hands on the sick, anoint them with oil, and pray faithfully for their recovery.

James 5:14-15
